Holdsworth Professional.

This was my first quality competition bike, built in 1985. Originally equiped with a mix of Campagnolo Super Record, Suntour Superbe Pro & Pro II components, it was the machine on which I rode all my races from June 1985 until I packed in racing in 1996.An old steel frame that still can give a grin inducing ride.

The Holdsworth is being retired from race use, in favour of the Pinarello, and will go on the turbo trainer in place of the old hack bike. I've taken the Record brake calipers to go on the Pinarello. These will be replaced with the Holdsworth's old Super Record calipers so that I'll be able to use the bike on the road if I need to go training when I don't want to take the Pinarello out.

Wheels: Sciroccos or Mavic Open Pros on Campag Chorus hubs, shared with Sirius.
Pedals: Look Keo Classic.

Sirius 631 cyclo-cross.

Built 1998, with the intension of getting back into racing cyclo-cross. This never happened, so it became my general riding bike. Even though it is steel, it has a totally different feel to the Holdsworth. The wheels are handbuilt by myself.

Frame Material: Reynolds 631 steel.
Groupset: Campag Chorus.
Deviations: Campag Centaur rear mech, Shimano cantilever brakes.
Bars & Stem: Cinelli
Saddle: Selle San Marco Rolls.
Wheels: Mavic Open Pro SSC rims wired 3-cross on Campag Chorus hubs.
Pedals: Shimano SPD moutain bike.

handsomedog Arrow Project.

Chainset: Truvativ FireX.
Wheels: DT Swiss 455 rims on WTB Disc Comp hubs.
Brakes: Juicy Three hydraulic discs with 160mm rotors.
Gears: Front Shimano LX, Rear Shimano XT.
Shifters: Shimano XT Rapid Fire.
Pedals: Shimano MTB SPDs (nicked from Sirius).

I've finally been seduced by the dark side, and shelled out for a mountain bike frame. This is a handsomedog Arrow hardtail frame with disc brake mounts. I've also bought a new set of Avid Jucy 3 hydraulic brakes with six bolt rotors. I'll be looking for a set of Hope hubs and disc compatable rims. This will give me an opertunity to build a pair of wheels from scratch. I need to gen up on mountain bike transmission before I go shopping for these. I expect to get most stuff second hand off eBay.

1970's Holdsworth track bike (SOLD).

Frame Material: Reynolds 531C steel.
Chainset: Campagnolo Record Pista.
Wheels: Mavic GEL280 tubular rims on Campag Record Pista hubs.
Tyres: Clement Scatto tubulars.

Early Novemver 2009 came the time to sell this bike on. It had been sitting around too long, just gathering dust and acting as a rack for disused tyres. I found the remaining parts for it, put it back together and advertised it on eBay. I'm sad to see it go, we had some fun. But at least it's gone to someone who should appreciate it, especially since he paid £332.64 for it.
