My weight in the 2008 season stabilized at around 63.4Kg, but this was still with 12% of body fat and, unfortunately, a loss of muscle mass and power. The aim across winter is to complete five months of riding with a high level two content, to reduce my body fat to 10% of mass, and to at least maintain lean mass.
This is going to be a hard target to beat. I had a poor autumn and winter, so my weight went in the opposite direction. My weight comes off with long periods of lower level 2 work, but I've run out of time to put in that work before I had to up my level 3 content.
I am lying 9m09 off beating this target, which would give me silver standard for this distance. My first 50 was on a bad day, so I had to take it easy on the corners due to wet carbon rims.
I am lying 2m10s off beating this target. This season should see me go through this, so long as I dedicate myself to it towards the end of the season.
This should be quite do-able once I get into the club evening 10s. I know it was the lack of power content to my training last year that held me back.
I've got a full road licence for this year. To get my 3rd category licence is a must, but it's going to be very hard. I have plenty of work to do, mileage wise and tactics wise. First step would be to stop being shelled out the back so quickly. Power and endurance both need improving.
